Level 3 Communications CDN
Overview Level 3 Communications was a network and CDN operator. CenturyLink completed its acquisition of Level 3 in 2017 and later adopted the Lumen name. Level 3 is not a current standalone CDN product. Service outcome In October 2023, Lumen announced that it had sold selected CDN customer contracts to Akamai. Lumen and Akamai described a 90-day transition after which Lumen planned to wind down its content-delivery services. The transaction did not transfer the whole Lumen company or network to Akamai. ...
