Lumen is an active networking company. This profile covers its historical CDN service and the selected-contract transition to Akamai .

The corporate group adopted the Lumen name in 2020. Its 2025 filing lists principal executive offices in Monroe, Louisiana; this is the continuing network-infrastructure company.

Use the current successor contract and quote to estimate traffic, requests, minimum commitments and separate media/security charges. The old 90-day transition is not a currently open migration window.

For an existing workload, verify the successor portal, API, certificates, hostnames, cache rules and logs. Old CMv3 configurations are not assumed portable to another provider.

History

Company continuity

CenturyLink adopted the Lumen corporate name in September 2020. The company continues to operate networking services; this historical CDN listing does not describe a company shutdown.

CDN transition

Lumen completed the sale of selected CDN contracts to Akamai on October 10, 2023 and announced a 90-day transition followed by a planned content-delivery wind-down. Akamai expressly excluded Lumen personnel and technology from the transaction.
