Split traffic between regions

Percentages must total 100%. The same split applies to bytes and requests. CloudFront charges by serving edge location; this is an approximation. Shared free allowances are allocated proportionally.

Origin and optional services

Paid tiers start with this workload; estimates do not include other account traffic. Enter your own effective rates after origin allowances. Reads use request misses; egress uses byte fill. Functions assume one invocation per viewer request. Zero leaves an extra out of the estimate; it does not mean your origin is free.

Compare a quote you received

This is your quote, not a published provider price. Use an effective rate for the selected traffic mix; tiers, included usage and commitments need to be reflected in your inputs. Sharing a scenario includes your quote details.

Presets are starting assumptions, not measured traffic. Video assumes one rendition and segment GETs; playlists, retries and extra audio tracks add requests. Fill is a byte ratio, not a request cache-hit rate. GB = 1 billion bytes; Google bills GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes; CloudFront estimates use binary GB as a billing assumption.

Comcast Technology Solutions offers managed content-delivery architecture for streaming video, gaming and large media downloads. Its current offering combines modular services and a multi-CDN delivery strategy.

Confirm whether your proposal covers managed multi-CDN delivery, origin/storage or another Comcast service; they are not interchangeable products.

Network

Comcast Technology Solutions describes global delivery through a multi-CDN strategy. Ask CTS which delivery partners and locations serve your audience.

Comcast broadband premises and access-network coverage are different measures from CDN cache locations. Verify the delivery partners and audience routes in the selected proposal.

  • CTS offers managed multi-CDN delivery for streaming media, games and large downloads. Available delivery features depend on the selected partners and contract.
  • CDN Origin adds storage and dynamic packaging as a separately selected part of the architecture. Confirm required output formats and licensing with CTS.
  • Include protocol support, purge timing, log access and security requirements in the proposal. A feature offered by one partner may not be available across the managed service.

Developer tools

  • Combine managed delivery with CDN Origin/storage and dynamic packaging as needed. Define responsibilities for ingest, packaging and distribution during onboarding.
  • Use the CTS customer support and portal entry points for the contracted product. Cloud Video Platform documentation covers a different offering; confirm the CDN-specific API and log interfaces with CTS.
